Mercedes-Benz Stadium will be ringing with the sounds of ATL Saturday night. On Atlanta United's HBCU Night, the club is hosting some of the city's most iconic and influential figures.
Tickets for the Southern Showdown match against Nashville SC are still available. Here's a full rundown of what you can expect to see outside of the action on the pitch at MBS Saturday night:
Soundtrack for the evening
Three-time GRAMMY Award winning artist T.I. will headline the evening with his halftime performance, and he'll be supported by members of the Clark Atlanta University and Morehouse College Drumlines. They'll bring the rhythm as T.I. performs songs from his classic catalogue.
CAU's “Mighty Marching Panthers” Marching Band and Morehouse's “House of Funk” Marching Band will be making noise all throughout the night. The percussionists will join the Supporters March from Lot 17 into Mercedes-Benz Stadium before kickoff and will be in the Supporters Section before joining T.I. for the special halftime show.
FlyGuy DC to cohost matchday show
CAU alumnus and Atlanta radio host FlyGuy DC will join club host Joe Freihofer on the prematch show. He'll bring his ATL authenticity and energy to the Halo Board and across the stadium throughout the match.
HBCU Panel: Candid coversation spanning sport and culture
"ATL UTD HBCU Night: Conversations & Careers in Sports Panel presented by Truist,” will be an illuminating discussion featuring prominent HBCU alumni. See the lineup:
