Ezequiel Barco and Josef Martinez were an unstoppable force against Sporting Kansas City this weekend, and they're getting the recognition they deserve from league writers.
The attacking duo was named in the MLS Team of the Week after their dominant win on the road. Josef tacked on two goals on his season tally as he continues to round into the scintillating form that won him the MLS MVP award last season. Meanwhile, Barco was all over the place himself. It was his shot that was too hot for the SKC goalkeeper to handle that led to Josef's first goal, and it was Barco that set up Josef for the match-clinching third goal of the night. And of course, he had a sensational goal of his own, a long-range effort that was unstoppable into the bottom corner that is now up for MLS Goal of the Week consideration.
